Army Profile #1: Dave Bendarek - Wood Elves

These are some pictures I took at WaaaghPaca 2013 that had disappeared on my desktop. I found them recently and decided it was time to put them up. This Wood Elf army belongs to Dave Bendarek and involves lots of conversions as well as a very nice Winter theme.

Here is the army in its full glory. It is mounted on a nice snow base and Dave has done a great job on his grey coloration for his units as well as the snow shrubbery on the board.

Here are Dave's archers. He makes a good use of the contrasting light skin tone and the lighter grey colors.

Dave's Eternal Guard unit with champion in bear skin cloak! I also like the use of the menhirs as unit fillers.

Another view of the Eternal Guard unit.

One of Dave's characters that goes into the unit.

Dave's Battle Standard Bearer with reindeer-like creatures at the top.

Dave's eagle hero riding above another menhir stone.

A close-up of Save's eagle character (a little out of focus).

Dave's homemade Treekin. The unit looks a lot longer and more like tall, dead tress. Very fitting for a winter theme.

Another view of the Treekin unit.

Dave's homemade Wild Riders. These models are combinations of normal Elven steeds, Dryad bodies, and lots and lots of green stuff for the torsos. They look like bark-centaurs!
