New Stuff: Dark Elf Army Book
On Saturday morning (tomorrow), I go to pick up the new Dark Elf Army Book. I will be playing Dark Elves at this year's Alamo GT and army lists are due October 24th. This gives me about three weeks to really go over the book and get an army designed (with what I have and can paint in such a short time). I will update this blog on the army design choices and everything else going on as I prepare for the Alamo. Let's get going!

ReplyDeleteJust got a game in with the new book last night. I really enjoyed playing with the High Beastmaster, he put down an Abom all by his lonesome. The changes to the Hydras are going to take some getting used to (they were pretty broken before though). I liked my Executioners, and the Dark Riders with a 4+ were pretty rad. Not sure the Witches as a mainline combat block were the best choice, and I felt like maybe a unit of 24 was a little loose butthole. Gonna try them in some smaller blocks with a larger one w/ Cauldron hooked up. Pretty stoked my favorite army is back in action.
Good luck at the Alamo, I'd love to hit that one sometime.

I love, love, love the new Doomfire Warlocks. The ability to throw 6 dice at a boosted Doombolt or Soul Blight and maybe not lose a single model is amazing. Especially when the unit can be on your side of the board and in range of all your units on the first turn.
